TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Agreement to these Terms

By creating an account, generating an API key, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (cs2.space/privacy). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live) to use the Service, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live to purchase a paid plan.

2. The Service

CS2.SPACE provides an API and website that return Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 player information, such as profile and match statistics, rankings, inventories and estimated item prices, along with game-related images. The data and features available depend on your plan, as described on our pricing page (cs2.space/#pricing) and documentation (cs2.space/docs).

3. Accounts and API keys

• You sign in with a third-party account (Steam or Google). Keep your account secure; you are responsible for activity under it.
• API keys are confidential. Do not share them, publish them, or embed them in client-side code, apps or anything else end users can inspect. You are responsible for all usage made with your keys.
• You may hold up to 10 API keys. Request limits and quotas apply across all keys on your account.
• One person or organization may not create multiple accounts to get around plan limits.
• We may revoke or rotate a key we believe is compromised or misused, and will tell you when we do.

4. Plans, billing and free trials

• We offer a Free plan and paid plans (currently PRO and DEVELOPER). Each plan's request quota, rate limit and included data are listed on our pricing page and documentation.
• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars through our payment processor, Helcim. Applicable taxes may be added. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel.
• Where a plan includes a free trial, it is limited to one per customer. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged when the trial ends.
• You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access to your paid plan until the end of the current billing period, after which your account moves to the Free plan.
• If a payment fails, we may retry it, and we may move your account to the Free plan until payment succeeds.
• We may change prices or plan features. We will give active subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before a price increase takes effect; you can cancel before then.

5. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused requests, or downgrades, except where a refund is required by law. This does not affect any statutory rights you have as a consumer.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• exceed or try to get around rate limits, quotas, plan restrictions or authentication, including by rotating keys, accounts or IP addresses;
• resell, sublicense or provide access to the API itself, or offer a service that substantially reproduces the API or redistributes its data in bulk, without our written permission;
• scrape the website or attempt to extract data other than through the documented API;
• use the Service, or data from it, to harass, stalk, threaten, dox, discriminate against or otherwise harm any person;
• use the Service for fraud, scams (including trading or impersonation scams), phishing, account theft, cheating, or any unlawful purpose, including unlawful gambling;
• probe, scan or test the Service's security, or interfere with or overload it, without our written permission;
• use the Service in a way that violates the terms of the platforms the data relates to, or that suggests your product is endorsed by CS2.SPACE, Valve, FACEIT or Leetify.

7. Using data from the API

Subject to these Terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use data returned by the API to build and operate your own applications and to show it to your users.

• Player data can include personal data about real people. You are responsible for handling it lawfully, including under privacy laws that apply to you and your users, and for honoring deletion or removal requests we forward to you.
• Some data originates from third-party platforms that set their own display, attribution and storage requirements, including Valve (Steam), FACEIT and Leetify. You are responsible for meeting those requirements in your application, including showing any required attribution such as "Data Provided by Leetify".
• Keep any data you store reasonably current and delete it when it is no longer needed or when we or the data's owner ask you to.
• Item prices are estimates of market value. They are not offers to buy or sell and are not financial advice.

8. Images and third-party content

Images served under /api/assets (such as rank icons, medals, maps and weapons) depict game content owned by Valve or other third parties. We provide them for convenience and grant no rights in that content; your use of it is subject to its owners' policies and at your own risk.

Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation. FACEIT and Leetify are trademarks of their respective owners. CS2.SPACE is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, FACEIT or Leetify. Powered by Steam (store.steampowered.com).

9. Our intellectual property and feedback

The Service, including our website, documentation, software and branding, belongs to CS2.SPACE and is protected by law. Apart from the license in section 7, these Terms do not grant you any rights in it.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service reliable, but we do not guarantee any particular uptime, and the Service may be interrupted for maintenance, failures, or problems with the platforms the data comes from. Current status is available at cs2.space/api/health.

We may add, change or remove features, endpoints or data fields. We will try to give reasonable notice of changes that break existing integrations, but we may make changes without notice where needed for security, legal or third-party reasons.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Data comes largely from third parties and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CS2.SPACE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR US$50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify CS2.SPACE against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your applications, your use of the Service or its data, or your breach of these Terms.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may ask us to delete your account by emailing help@cs2.space.

We may suspend or terminate your access, or revoke API keys, if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a security or legal risk, or if we are required to by law or by a platform the data relates to. Where reasonable, we will notify you first.

Sections 5, 7 (as to data you already received), 8, 9, 11, 12, 13 and 16 survive termination.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email at least 14 days in advance. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the U.S. state in which CS2.SPACE is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at help@cs2.space and try to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Nothing in this section limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.

17. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganization of the Service. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
